Maui Tropical Plantation

The Maui Tropical Plantation is open every day from 7 am to 9 pm and can be found at 1670 Honoapi’ilani Hwy, Wailuku. Visitors to the Plantation will find a number of different things to see and do. This includes numerous restaurants, events, shows, art galleries, stores, and tours.

Admission to the Plantation is free and there are a lot of attractions and ways for families to spend their time. One of the best parts of the Tropical Plantation is the view of the Waikapu Valley. Visitors can also walk the gardens, dine on the lanai, or tour the grounds on the Tropical Express Tram.

Visiting the Maui Tropical Plantation

The Tropical Express gives riders a look at Hawaii’s native plants and fruits found in Waikapu Valley and the greater West Maui Mountains. The tour is 45 minutes and loops around the lagoon to travel through parts of the Plantation that are otherwise inaccessible. There is also a 15-minute break included in this tour when the tram stops at a hut so visitors can try their hands at coconut husking and watch a demonstration.
